DESCRIPTION

The trail is well marked with 95% of it on regular walking paths. There will be a large, enthusiastic crowd all along the trail to cheer you on you during the 28th edition, on Saturday, July 29th 2017.

Organization of the 6000D :
STARTS AIME, 6.00am
65 km over a marked course with control points and on ascent in the Olympic bobsleigh track
3500 m elevation gain
Altitude at the start and finish : 673 m
Highest point of the race : 3047 m
No limit time but last hourly barrier to Montchavin at 5.30 pm (km54)
Starts Aime 6am
Price : from 50 to 70€
Limit to 2000 runners
3 hourly Barriers (Chiaupe return, Bellecôte, Montchavin)
On-line registration closes : to be confirmed
Medical certificate or license compulsory for the registration
For the 2017 edition, a whistle and a survival blanket and a windbreaker will be compulsory (it can be cold at altitude)
Strongly recommended a mobile phone
Bibs will be given out at the Salle des Fêtes in Aime from Thursday afternoon until the morning of the race
A baggage room will be available 50m from the start point in Aime.

6D Lacs
Starting and finishing in Plagne Bellecôte, this 27km trail race has 1600 m of elevation gain and is less demanding than the 6000D.

Race time limit 6 hours
Limit to 1000 Runners
Hiking poles are allowed
No compulsory equipment (N.B. it can be cold at altitude). Recommended : 1 liter of water and mobile phone
Sticks are authorized from the Dou du Praz (there will be too many people in the first one ascent to use them)
Bibs will be given out in Aime (Salle des Fêtes) from Thursday afternoon to Friday evening, and on the morning of the race at the starting point in Bellecôte.
There will be lockers available at the start in Bellecôte
The race leaves from Plagne Bellecôte, climbs to Le Dou du Praz by the footpath going towards the cheese dairy before meeting up with the 6000D course that climbs to the Lac des Blanchets, the Roche de Mio, the Col de la Chiaupe (not going up to the Glacier), the Dérochoir, Plan Bois, the Arpette and Belle Plagne, and then finishes in Plagne Bellecôte.
To keep as close as possible to the spirit of trail running , there is only 1 food station at the Col de la Chiaupe (food and drinks) and 1 water point at the Plan Bois (drinks only) over the 27 kms. A Camel Bag or a water bottle is strongly recommended. Running self-sufficiently is recommended.

La 6Découverte
The 6 Découverte is a race open to all (beginner to expert). The course takes you through La Plagne's altitude villages on walking paths.
The race starts and finishes in Plagne Centre, covering 11km and 600 m of elevation gain. It starts on a path up to Plagne Villages, Bellecôte, the Dou du Praz plateau then goes down to Plagne Centre. You then go to the Lac Vert and up to Aime la Plagne. before coming back down to finish Plagne Centre.

11 km of marked path with check points
600 m of elevation gain
Altitude of start and finish point: 1979 m
Highest point of the course: 2151
Time limited to 2 1/2 hours
Price : 20 to 25€
Limit to 500 Runners
No compulsory equipment (but remember it can be cold at altitude)
Hiking poles are allowed
Bibs will be given out in Aime (Salle des Fêtes) from Thursday afternoon and on the morning of the race in Plagne Centre
There will be a room in Plagne Centre where you can leave your belongings.

La 6D verticale
The 6D Verticale is a hill climb for all levels of runner (beginner, intermediate or experienced) so that everyone can participate in the great 6000D weekend.
The 5 km climb with 1000 m vertical rise leaving from La Roche (Village of Olympic Bobsleigh track ) will take you up to the top of the Grande Rochette above Plagne Centre.

There will be a room in la Roche and after transported at the top of the race.

La 6D Bob
Based on the concept of an "infernal climb", the competitors run up the legendary Olympic Bobsleigh track on an average gradient of 8,2% with of 14%!
The current record for running up it is 6'12".

La 6D Mômes
The 6D Mômes (6D for kids) is a race organised so that children can take part in the 6000D weekend.
They run around the 500m circuit in Plagne Centre once or several times according to their age group.

La 6D kids
Front the "Giants" race, come and see the Kids' version - the 6D Kids. A animation for children and teenagers (age 6 - 16) to run as a family or with an accompanying adult.
The principle is simple: go and explore the town of Aime solving hidden clues along the way.
This treasure hunt style initiation race, open to all, offers the opportunity to find out about the heritage of the town of Aime.
So on your marks, young adventurers, and be the first to find the much coveted treasure!
