Localisation

Départ du parking de la Roche

73210 La Plagne

DESCRIPTION

Steep climb: 6D vertical/Difficulty: Very challenging
Distance: 5 Km/1000 m uphill
Departure from the parking area in la Roche

Steep climb for seasoned trailers only, up the 1,000 metre vertical 6000D course. Your legs will be nicely warmed up by the time you reach the top of Grande Rochette!

Departing from the parking area at la Roche (at the foot of the chairlift of the same name – access by free shuttle). The climb starts through fields, crosses the Mairiers coach road and continues as far as the technical building at Bouclets.

It then bears left on a "rolling" path that leads to the village of Plagne 1800, where it runs alongside the stream and turns left at the biomass heating plant. After crossing the bridge over the road, it passes below Residence Le France.

The route then goes into the Colorado Canyon and cuts through fields before the final climb over rocky ground. At the top, enjoy the beautiful view of the Vanoise glaciers as you get your breath back before going down by the same route.
