La Plagne once again plays host to one of the stages of la Grande Odyssée; the most challenging international dog sled race in the world. This year (the 15th in the history of the event) 55 competitors have registered to take part in the race, which takes place from January 12 to 23, 2019.
La Plagne hosts the 6th stage of this veritable "snow marathon" on Friday 18 January 2019.
Start and finish at Plagne-Montalbert, with a section through the Olympic bobsleigh track and towards the resort of les Coches on the level of Plan Bois.

A bustling village on the Plagne Montalbert snow front will welcome the public, in particular to the far-north area and a chance to meet the husky dogs.
From the end of the morning, in the departure/arrival area, in the streets of Montalbert and on the snow front, a far-north arctic atmosphere featuring entertainment including close encounters with the husky dogs. You will also be able to watch the mushers' (drivers) prepare their dog teams and harnesses.
